PRS Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition - Portofino Red

If Willow Green is the quiet one in this collection, Portofino Red is its opposite in every way — and completely unapologetic about it. Named for the sun-soaked Italian Riviera village that has inspired painters, filmmakers, and automotive designers for generations, Portofino Red is a vibrant, warm-blooded red with depth and personality to match. On Land Rover's Defender it turned heads; on a Silver Sky with a matching painted headstock, it ignites. High-gloss nitro over alder gives the finish a richness that photographs beautifully and looks even better in hand, and the all-red presentation from body to headstock makes a statement that the other three colors in this collection simply don't. This is a guitar that knows exactly what it is — bold, confident, and entirely intentional. Five hundred of these exist worldwide, each marked with a neck plate engraved "Portofino Red" and "1 of 500," and each packed into a PRS ATA Molded Case with a custom DEFENDER badge that ties the whole story together. Inside that showstopping exterior lives the same Silver Sky that Mayer and PRS spent years refining into one of the most deliberately designed guitars in recent memory. The 635JM-R neck profile, 7.25" rosewood fingerboard radius, and 22 frets deliver an authentically vintage playing feel that rewards both subtle fingerpicking and expressive tremolo work with equal responsiveness. Three 635JM single-coil pickups — developed to capture the clarity, warmth, and bloom of the vintage instruments that shaped Mayer's sound — run through a 5-way blade with one volume and two tone controls, covering the full range of single-coil tonal territory with exceptional nuance. PRS Steel Tremolo, vintage-style locking tuners, satin nitro on the neck, bone nut, Small Bird inlays — the details are the same as any Silver Sky. The color is anything but. **This Listing is for Pre-Order, guitars are schedule to ship from November 2026 - February 2027** Model: Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition Body Construction: Solidbody Body Wood: Alder Frets: 22 Scale: 25.5" Neck Wood: Maple Neck Construction: Scarfed Truss Rod: PRS Double-Action Neck Shape: 635JM-R Neck Depth at 1st Fret: 55/64" Neck Depth at 12th Fret: 63/64" Fretboard Wood: Rosewood Fretboard Radius: 7.25" Fretboard Inlay: Small Birds Headstock: Matching, Signature, Decal Neck/Body Assembly: Bolt-On Body Finish: High-Gloss Nitro Neck Finish: Satin Nitro Bridge: PRS Steel Tremolo Tuners: Vintage-Style, Locking Hardware Color: Nickel Nut: Bone Truss Rod Cover: Silver Treble Pickup: 635JM Middle Pickup: 635JM Bass Pickup: 635JM Controls: One Volume and Two Tone Controls with a 5-Way Blade Pickup Switch Strings: PRS Signature 10-46 Case: PRS ATA Molded Case w/ Defender Badge Weight:
