Kerr Chief Scarf Orchid Thief

The commemorative Kerr-Chief design for the 2nd Annual Bubbles & Blooms Luncheon at the San Antonio Botanical Garden showcases the exotic majesty and wonder of orchids. True to Kerr's naturalist approach to art, the orchids are framed with Seminole imagery for trees and arrowheads, as the caterpillar of the endangered Schaus' swalltowtail butterfly, endemic to South Florida, crawls along the trim, both a nod to special guest Susan Orlean and her book The Orchid Thief: A True Story of Beauty and Obsession.
